AMTC Introduces First Water-saving Urinal Handle
Advanced Modern Technologies Corporation (AMTC) has announced today the availability of a water saving green urinal handle for the commercial restroom. The HALF-FLUSH™ retrofit flush handle for urinals is an industry first. It is designed to reduce the flush volume of a urinal by one half. In addition to their HALF-FLUSH™ retrofit urinal handle, AMTC also offers a solution for the toilet. AMTC’s DUALFLUSH® retrofit flush handle for toilets enables a user to select a full or reduced flush volume. While other manufacturers offer a dual flush handle, AMTC’s is the only unit that saves water by pushing down on the flush handle, requiring no change in user behavior to save water. AMTC’s retrofit flush handles can quickly and cost effectively convert the installed base of urinal and toilet fixtures to the high-efficiency standard without the need to change the existing porcelain. The products can be installed by a layperson in about one minute and have a suggested retail price of just $60.00/unit. Payback on the handles based on water savings and sewer charge savings is less than one year. All AMTC retrofit products have been tested by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials and are marked to indicate that they are a water saving device.
AMTC (www.amtcorporation.com) is the leading innovative manufacturer of high quality, reliable, and cost-effective automated washroom systems and water saving devices created for people who use and service Away From Home (AFH) washrooms.
Test-Tite Mechanical Cleanout Test Plug Requires No Tools for Quick Installation
IPS Corporation’s new, patent-pending Test-Tite Mechanical Cleanout Test Plug is designed to enable quick testing of plumbing drain, waste and vent (DWV) systems without tools, compressors, pumps, hoses or gauges. It can be tightened by hand in seconds. The Mechanical Cleanout Test Plug is used to test pressure or temporarily block DWV systems for up to 40 vertical feet of pipe. It can be used in place of current standard pneumatic cleanout test plugs, and holds the test longer without the risk of leakage during testing. Its design features an expandable rubber gasket, compressed between two plastic plates, providing a positive air- and water-tight seal. Additional features include a clear cap that enables the user to monitor test media to ensure that drainage is complete prior to releasing the plug. A poppet valve on the top plate enables easy drainage. Made from nylon-reinforced plastic with plated-steel moving parts that resist corrosion, the Mechanical Cleanout Test Plug is durable. It is available to test two-, three- and four-inch pipe.
IPS Corporation is the trusted leader in manufacturing adhesives, solvent cements, labor-saving plumbing specialty items and numerous components and supplies for the plumbing, construction, manufacturing and plastic fabrication industries. Gas Distribution and Management System Features Smart Technology
An advanced new gas distribution and management system designed to provide high-flow gas generators, compressors, and bulk supply systems with continuous reserve supply has been introduced by CONCOA. Built for use in the event of power loss or if the supply system provides an insufficient amount of gas, the Series 542 High-Flow Backup automatically activates the reserve to provide gas supply without interruption. Ideal for use in high-flow building or facility systems with nitrogen, air, helium, carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, oxygen, or argon, Series 542 features an onboard Web server with embedded proprietary I-LINK software enabling remote programming and monitoring. Users can program the pressures at which the backup engages and the low-reserve alarm point, as well continually monitor pipeline pressure and reserve status. Check valves on both the generator and the reserve prevent back flow to the generator or reserve cylinder, while shut-off valves allow for isolation and disconnection of either line. Materials of construction are high-purity brass bar stock on the body, Chrome-plated die cast zinc, PCTFE (3000 PSIG) on the seat, a 40-micron 316L stainless steel mesh filter, and diaphragms/pigtails of 316L stainless steel. CGA connections are brass with a check valve, the check-vale seat is PTFE or Viton®, and the enclosure is NEMA 12 powder-coated steel. The series is available with numerous inlet options including CONCOA High Flow 629 Series MicroManifolds and High Flow 628 Manifold Headers designs. Specifications include a large digital pressure display and a multi-color LED status display, 3000 PSIG (210 BAR) maximum inlet pressure, 0?F to 140?F temperature range, and 50 to 250 PSIG (0 to 17 BAR) adjustable pressure range, 1.0 Cv. Weight is 45 lbs. (10.45kg).
